“I shall live here in the rains.
There in winter, Elsewhere in summer…”

I cannot remember a time when I wasn’t taking photos as I was introduced to polaroid and film when I was very young. Using photography, I began to build a bridge between myself and the world around me. There were stories to be told through the camera.

Along with the desire to create meaningful visual imagery is an admiration of natural landscape and a deeper appreciation for these spaces and what those spaces tell us. Capturing certain aesthetics, atmosphere, emotions, and mood with a camera were a mirror into my thoughts and world. It still is. The path is a story unfolding.

But how could you live and have no story to tell?

Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Everyone has a story, we are all on a path.

Through nature, I tend to express themes that resonate with me; themes of memory, loss, familiarity/unfamilarity, temporality, spirituality, and transitory states of being.

I often marry photos to fragments of thought or prose. The purpose is to provide further context of the mental/emotional states that connect me to those spaces. While I encourage my personal feeling of the photo in this extra context, I always hope that the viewer will gain their own interpretation even if it departs from mine.
